FEAR NOT! Along with our regular program of shops participating in our event, we have created for you, a lovely online yarn crawl you can do from the comfort of your living room! Contents 1．Visiting our shops in person 2．Doing our online yarn crawl 3．The Yarn Crawl Internet Shop 4．The stamp card and our prize drawings Have a look at our shop list, all of these lovely retailers are waiting for you with exciting sales, fun events and lots of special products. In person you’ll surely find all kinds of things to wow and inspire you. As usual we will hold our stamp card drawing, so please take your card and head round to our shops and pop ups! Visiting our shops in person 楽しみかた 1 Watching our online live broadcasts No matter where you are in the world, or even if you’d just rather not leave the safety of home, feel free to visit our shops virtually in a fantastic schedule of shop to shop hopping with our MC Mr. Yokoyama(amikinoko)! The broadcasts will be held weekly before our event, and two “eve” events on our Instagram page! 楽しみかた 2 Tokyo Yarn Crawl Online Shop This year we collaborated with 3 designers to bring you some interesting and original new knitting experiences! We will begin selling the patterns on October 1st, so you can start early and have a beautiful new accessory to wear around town on your crawl! On November 1st we will also start selling original products from collaborating stores and our own original goods! 楽しみかた 3 トップに戻る The stamp card and prize drawings Every year we do a stamp card and prize drawing at the end of our event. After the event, we will hold a prize drawing and hand out gifts from each store! The more stamps collect, the better your chances of winning a prize. The Tokyo Yarn Crawl is a 2-week opportunity to explore the best of what the city has to offer for people who love the fibre arts! A “Yarn Crawl” is an event that originally takes its meaning from the “pub crawl”, in which a city’s pubs would all join forces and hold a one-night “rally” in which customers could hop from pub to pub, enjoying a pint, or snack at each house. By the end of the night, most patrons would have to crawl home, due to the amount of fun they had! Similarly, we want our crawlers to have so much fun connecting with friends, doing some shopping, and enjoying Tokyo’s best neighbourhoods that they will return home with full hearts and lots of happy memories. While like-minded events started originally in New York, Vancouver, and other cities all over the world, this event was first started 8 years ago by a small shop owner called Cassandra Harada. She worked closely with the great people at Nihon Vogue, and Studio F to make it an event that would last years and hold lots of great memories. This is our 8th annual crawl and we hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed planning it for you. The main excitement of the crawl is of course the stamp card scavenger hunt, and shopping all the lovely sales and special products the shops have prepared especially for our event. We also want you to explore local restaurants and cafes with your fibre loving friends, and also enjoy the unique atmosphere of autumn in Tokyo. Please have a look at our shop list, as each shop is incredibly unique. Pop in and chat to the staff, meet a designer, and check out the special kits and patterns that have been put together just for our event.
